HEIGHT: 14.3hh(Not measured)
AGE: 3.5
“Equilibre Joey” affectionately known as Joey. Standing at approximately 14.3hh (I expect him to mature 15hh as he is still a bit bum high). Very solid built. Born 6th of February 2021. Grey gelding. Registered 50% welsh and 50% Percheron (papers provided in photos of both registrations. Sire: Kamilaroi Epaulette. Dam: Amaranda Elaine.
I purchased Joey from Equilibre Percheron stud two years ago. Joey has been easy to handle since birth and has always been a people’s horse. He is easy to catch (always first to the gate), wash, rug, trim, float etc. He has always been super easy to deal with. He has such a funny little personality, he is the type of horse that wants to know what you’re doing constantly and would be in your living room if he was allowed ??
Joey was very lightly started by G.C natural horsemanship at the start of the year. Here he learnt the basics of being a ridden horse. He can confidently be saddled up, do groundwork, stand relaxed to mount, and ride at walk and trot in the halter (he has not had a bit yet). Joey was very easy to start under saddle showing very little fuss and a lot of willingness to learning new things. He has since come home to spell.
He is still very green, will need someone experienced and someone that knows green horses. He will be an exceptional horse once fully broken in and with more miles under his belt.
Joey is well exposed to farm life. Tractors, cars, dogs, cows the works. He is a very easy horse to handle. He would suit someone looking for their own young horse to bring along under saddle to do whatever discipline they please. He will be able to do it all.
The plan was to spell until next year and then send him back to be finished off and have more work, but I am returning to study full time and financially cannot keep him due to this.
I’ve attached photos and videos of Joey at the breakers. Including a link to a YouTube video of his very first ride. There is also photos of his full sibling and sire.
It is a hard sale, but I want Joey to find his person and be given every opportunity to be an exceptional horse in the future when he is up and going. I am more than happy to speak to potential bidders interested in Joey.
He is blue roan but will/is going grey
