Regretful sale
Onyx is a 22yo standy mare.
She stands at approx 15.2
Raced in her younger day as : Aussie invasion.
I purchased onyx 3 years ago, the details I purchased her off, was that she had been in a riding school giving lessons.
And had just done some farm and road work.
She was being ridden by beginner.
When I took over ownership, we had done some riding around home, the odd light ride down the road as I was still extremely nervous, as I was just getting back into riding she truly took care of every rider she took out.
I leant her to a friend for a few months to help with getting her little kids into riding ( these photos are attached however I blurred out there face )
She was giving them both rides, even went for a ride here and there down too the lake and was teaching her little handlers all about horse ownership.
She was returned to me as they could no longer be in the position to keep her $$$ wise.
I then rehomed her, where she come back to me, and she would do little pig roots but after further investigation she did have an infected tooth, that the dentist had pulled out, had the chiro attend ( she was living in a hilly paddock where she had torn a muscle )
I had my chiro attend to onyx when she was returned to me, she had a session as she was tight and sore ( would benefit from more visits )
I am not in the position to continue on, and would love to let her see out her days in the paddock, but I’m not in this position.
Onyx is great to float ( if alone will need the divider pushed across as she does scramble a little bit ) but hasn’t done it every time on her own.
Great to rug currently being rugged.
Is barefoot trimmed. No shoes required.
A very good doer stays fat off just grass hay and grass alone.
Up to date with her teeth
Has had all her vaccs
She does have scarring on one hind leg that can be seen in one of the images does not effect her in anyway, she had the vet attend to it when first done. It’s just left some scarring.
I have had her paddocked on her own with no issues, can also paddock with other horses, but still rather keeps to herself.
She is a gem to handle and wouldn’t hurt a fly.
Has been handled by kids up to adults.
This is a hard sale to let her go :(
I have made a very small reserve to secure her future.
Pick up location: CLYDE VIC
