2010 chestnut mare
Hannah is a lovely, big, strong built mare from a family of national and state champions across a multitude of disciplines, and she herself has had miles and miles under her belt and has proven herself both here at home and in Kosciuszko National Park.
She is the type of mare that we feel comfortable leaving in the paddock and then just stepping on and going, and she has been ridden by both men and ladies of varying abilities from intermediate to advanced and carried them safely.
While she was shown successfully at halter as a yearling, Hannah was not given a show education under saddle, but you could not ask for a more fun horse to ride around in the bush or on the farm. She can open gates, has trailed cattle, jumps logs, goes through water, isn't bothered by wildlife, ride on a loose rein, ride her in the dark and is happy in a group or on her own. She was great camping, is hobble broke, and will stay behind electric fence as long as it's ticking. We've really found her to be nothing but a fun horse.
She does have a slow healing scab/scar on her back fetlock which was debrided by a vet a few months ago and we were warned would be slow to heal, it has not affected her rideability, I have included a picture. She also has a minor splint on her front leg which has never bothered her. We do keep her shod as we live on hard rocky ground.
Hannah had her teeth done last week, is good to shoe and had them done this Tuesday just gone, good to catch, worm, tie all day, wash and rug. She will float in a straight load but travels best with a roomy bay.
There is no point in Hannah sitting in our paddock doing nothing when someone could be having a lot of fun with her!
She is being sold out of work, freshly shod, in rugged paddock condition.
