NAME: Sissy
BREED: Thoroughbred
SEX: Mare
HEIGHT: 15.3hh(Not measured)
AGE: 16
Sissy is a beautiful natured mare. She is very sweet and loving. She is broken in and is good to c/s/f/w and also good for the dentist. I can personally attest to this as I have just had a full set of shoes put on her where she was great for the farrier, had the dentist out and her teeth done (she was great for the dentist) and have wormed her. She has also seen a body worker a week ago. She will stand tied up for as long as you need, knows how to lunge, isnt bothered by walking/ trotting over poles or jumps. She is good with other horses. Sissy has spent time at a professional trainers being assessed for if we were going to be a good match ( she is due to come home this Friday the 20th, i have receipts of all of this which i am happy to send to her new owners and my trainer is more than happy to chat to you about sissy and the time she has spent with her ). I have spent quite a bit of money in the short time i have had her trying my best to workout what she needs/ what she is like. She can get nervous which can make her at times, quite forward. We do believe this will improve with time as we believe it comes from being out of practice and unsure. Since being with the trainer she has come so far and settled in well, forming a strong bond with her trainer. Her previous owners said she had been turned out in a paddock for a year and a half, but upon pick up said it was well over two years. She has no dirt and even when uncomfortable has not bucked, reared, kicked or bitten, she just looks to her rider for reassurance. She is a safe horse, i got on and her rode her and she was great, it was me that was too nervous. This is a genuinely sad sale, i bought her under the impression that she would be a lot more quiet as her ad said she had been ridden down the streets of Melbourne and Mansfield and it also had nothing about being forward in it, I only found that out when I picked her up. The long ad is so the next owner knows what they are getting and has no surprises. Ive been 100 percent honest to the best of my ability on what she has been like for me and her trainer since i purchased her. Sadly after not riding for ten years, she is just not quiet enough for me for getting back into riding on my own. She is definitely not suited for a nervous or beginner rider and needs a confident rider to show her she is safe.
Video linked is her first ride in a new arena after well over two years.
